Regé-Jean Page is officially heading back to Netflix — this time as the lead and executive producer of the upcoming erotic thriller Hancock Park.
Named after the historic, ultra-affluent Los Angeles neighborhood — home to high-profile figures including Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and Bridgerton creator Shonda Rhimes — Hancock Park digs into the glossy, dangerous underbelly of elite L.A. living.
Page will play a charismatic but mysterious outsider who rents the guest house of a seemingly perfect Los Angeles family. But once he steps inside their world, the façade of wealth and respectability begins to crack — revealing a maze of desire, deceit, and obsession hidden beneath one of L.A.’s most coveted ZIP codes.
The project, which sparked a competitive bidding war between three major streamers, ultimately landed at Netflix with a script-to-series commitment and is now on an accelerated development track.
The series marks a full-circle moment for Page, whose breakout role in Bridgerton Season 1 made him an international star and helped solidify Netflix’s global dominance. He later headlined the streamer’s action hit The Gray Man, giving him the rare achievement of having both a film and a series in Netflix’s all-time Top 10 English-language rankings.
The series is written by Matthew Barry, known for Industry, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and the BBC’s The Guest (for which he recently won a BAFTA Cymru Award). Barry also serves as executive producer.
Page will executive produce through his banner A Mighty Stranger alongside partner Emily Brown. Drew Comins (two-time Emmy nominee for Yellowjackets) also executive produces under Creative Engine, with Fifth Season serving as the studio.
Comins is currently busy across the premium TV landscape with series in development at Netflix, Apple, HBO, and shows involving creatives such as Nicôle Lecky, Chris Van Dusen, and Bad Bunny.
Since Bridgerton, Page has focused primarily on film, starring in The Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag, and the upcoming rom-com You, Me & Tuscany opposite Halle Bailey.
Through A Mighty Stranger, Page he is also developing a new Count of Monte Cristo film (as star and producer) and a TV adaptation of Funny You Should Ask for Apple TV+.
With Hancock Park, Page steps into a darker, more seductive role — and his return to Netflix already feels like the streamer’s next prestige obsession.
