Rome Flynn (Imperfect Women), Algee Smith (The Gates), comedian and actor Desi Banks (Little), and South African actor Siv Ngesi (Happiness Is…) are set to star in the upcoming action-comedy Boyz Trip, with production currently underway in Cape Town, South Africa.
Written and directed by Kyle Scott, the film follows four college friends who decide to shake up their annual reunion with a getaway trip. But what starts as a much-needed escape quickly spirals into international chaos, forcing the group to rely on their long-standing friendship, questionable skills, and a whole lot of luck just to make it out alive.
Scott’s script is produced by Autumn Bailey-Ford under Autumn Bailey Entertainment. Scott also executive produces through KeyScott Entertainment alongside Canyon View Media.
The film is currently shooting on location in Cape Town.
KeyScott Entertainment, the Brisbane-based production banner co-founded by Scott and A. Key, is also currently in post-production on Next In Line, a Hispanic-led comedy series that recently wrapped principal photography in Atlanta.
Bailey-Ford shared that bringing the film to life in South Africa adds an extra layer of excitement to the project, noting the unique opportunity to film in Cape Town while telling the story of four friends whose vacation quickly turns into a wild and unpredictable adventure.
