Hulu is keeping the conversation around Paradise all in the family.
Just ahead of Season 2, Variety announced an official companion podcast for Paradise, hosted by Ryan Michelle Bathé — who also happens to be married to series star and executive producer Sterling K. Brown.
Bathé will also appear onscreen this season in a mysterious guest role, but off camera she’ll guide listeners through deep dives, episode recaps, and conversations with the people who built the world of the show.
The podcast launches February 16 with a Season 1 catch-up before rolling into weekly installments tied to the new season.
Who’s pulling up to the mic?
Expect a stacked lineup throughout the run, including:
- creator Dan Fogelman
- executive producer Jess Rosenthal
- and cast members James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Krys Marshall, Jon Beavers, Thomas Doherty, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Enuka Okuma, Charlie Evans and Aliyah Mastin.
Writers and producers will also stop by, along with scientific consultant Jonathan Mijs and author/bunker expert Douglas Rushkoff, promising conversations that go far beyond what we see on screen.
Where you can watch & listen
The nine-episode podcast will have video versions available on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, Disney+, and YouTube in the U.S.
Audio will drop weekly across major platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SiriusXM, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Amazon Music, and Pandora, via ABC News Audio.
About Season 2
Season 2 of Paradise premieres February 23.
Per the official synopsis: “Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.”
Between Bathé stepping in as host and the level of access promised from cast and creatives, Hulu is clearly inviting viewers deeper into the mythology, the making of the series, and the conversations driving it.
If you’re locked into Paradise, this sounds like required listening.
