If you’re searching for new adventure… this is the way.
Lucasfilm has dropped the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, marking the return of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his tiny but mighty apprentice Grogu to the big screen.
The film picks up after the fall of the Empire, as the fledgling New Republic works to secure the galaxy from scattered Imperial warlords. Enlisted for the mission is the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter and his young apprentice—aka our favorite “clan of two.”
The teaser shows Grogu working with his new Anzellan friends, wielding a tiny telescope, and—of course—using the Force at every chance he gets. We also get glimpses of Zeb Orrelios, Sigourney Weaver’s new character, and even a pair of Hutts. Highlights include the duo toppling an AT-AT remnant, venturing into an arena where Dejarik creatures have become real, and coming face-to-face with Rotta the Hutt, played by Jeremy Allen White.
Jon Favreau directs and produces alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Oscar-winner Ludwig Göransson returns to score the film, ensuring the Mandalorian’s signature sound follows him to the big screen.
This will be the first Star Wars theatrical release since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, and Disney has slated it as the summer 2026 box office kickoff. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu opens exclusively in theaters May 22, 2026—filmed for IMAX.
