T-Pain Expands His “Wiscansin” Universe Into an Animated Series

When T-Pain first rhymed “mansion” with “Wisconsin” on his 2008 hit Can’t Believe It, we didn’t question it — we sang it loud. It was one of those cultural moments that just stuck, where a mispronounced lyric became a cultural understanding across generations. And now, that one line has grown into a whole world. Sixteen years later, Wiscansin is officially becoming an animated series — and T-Pain is leading the charge.

Through his Nappy Boy Entertainment label, T-Pain is partnering with Viral Nation and Wind Sun Sky Entertainment — the Canadian studio run by former Lucasfilm executive Catherine Winder (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) — to bring his ever-expanding Wiscansin universe to life.

If you’ve been paying attention, you know this world’s been in the making for years. T-Pain turned Wiscansin into a full brand — complete with a fictional university, campus-style merch, and even Wiscansin Fest, a two-day music and party festival held at The Rave in Milwaukee. The 2025 lineup featured Wale, Pusha T, Keyshia Cole, Flo Milli, and DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) — proof that what started as a lyric is now a living cultural ecosystem.

Now, that same creativity and humor are headed to animation. The Wiscansin series is being developed as a multi-platform experience, with shortform episodes expected to roll out within the next nine to twelve months. The project will include animated shorts, Roblox tie-ins, and visuals integrated into T-Pain’s live shows — expanding Wiscansin across music, gaming, and digital entertainment.

According to Deadline — who exclusively reported this news — T-Pain is hands-on in every step of the creative process, shaping the tone, characters, and stories himself.

For an artist who’s always been ahead of his time — from redefining Auto-Tune to pioneering digital creativity — this move feels like a natural next step. T-Pain didn’t just give us a catchy lyric; he gave us a world we’ve been living in ever since.
