2D Animated Series ‘Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Set to Premiere on Paramount+ [TRAILER]

Paramount+ has dropped the official trailer and key art for the brand-new 2D animated series “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” This announcement came during a session at the inaugural IGN Live event in Los Angeles. The entire first season, consisting of 12 episodes, will be available on Paramount+ starting Friday, August 9 in the U.S. and Canada, and on Saturday, August 10 in the U.K. and Australia. Details for the international release will be announced later.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is a continuation of the universe established by last summer’s hit film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” The new series follows Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo as they navigate new threats and forge alliances while dealing with the challenges of teenage life and the dangers lurking in New York City.

The voice cast from “Mutant Mayhem” returns for this series, with Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil. Watch the trailer below.

The series also added guest stars Pete Davidson from “Saturday Night Live,” who will voice Rod, a wealthy, lazy kid obsessed with mutants to the point of wanting to become one himself. Alanna Ubach, known for her role in “Ted,” will voice Bishop, a genius inventor who views mutants as a dire threat to humanity and is determined to eradicate them, including the Turtles. More guest stars are expected to be revealed in the future.

Executive producers Chris Yost and Alan Wan lead the production, with oversight from Nickelodeon’s Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President of TV Series Animation, and Nikki Price, Director of Development and Executive in Charge of Production. Fans can catch the new series “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” on Paramount+ this summer. In the meantime, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” is already available for streaming on the platform.
