First Netflix, now Fox — Taraji P. Henson has signed a multi-year first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios under her production company, TPH Entertainment.
Under the new pact, Henson and Jamila Jordan-Theus, Head of Development and Production at TPH Entertainment, will develop a slate of scripted and unscripted projects spanning comedy, drama, and reality formats. Henson will serve as an executive producer on all projects and could also star in select titles.

Henson’s partnership marks a return to the Fox family, where she rose to mainstream fame as Cookie Lyon in the hit drama Empire. Her Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe–winning performance remains one of the network’s most memorable. Fox even once explored a Cookie spinoff led by Henson and TPH Entertainment.
This deal follows Henson’s recent two-picture deal with Netflix and her role in Peacock’s limited series Fight Night. She’s also preparing to make her Broadway acting debut in Debbie Allen’s revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, starring alongside Cedric “The Entertainer.” Previews begin March 30 at Broadway’s Barrymore Theatre.
In a joint statement, Henson and Jordan-Theus said, “TPH stands on the pillars of community, so we are eager to embrace this storytelling collective and deliver compelling creative to audiences across the globe.”
