‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2 Sets May Premiere as Netflix Releases First-Look Photos

Netflix is bringing audiences back on vacation with Tina Fey and company. The streamer has officially set May 28, 2026 as the premiere date for Season 2 of The Four Seasons, alongside releasing a new set of first-look photos from the upcoming eight-episode installment.

Created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield, the comedy series will once again follow six longtime friends whose relationships are tested across four vacations over the course of a year. The structure, which mirrors the seasonal trips that defined the first season, continues to explore how friendships evolve when marriages shift, secrets surface, and long-standing dynamics are forced to change.

Season 2 sees the return of Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen. The ensemble cast anchors the show’s mix of emotional honesty and sharp comedic moments, leaning into the complicated ways friendship and marriage intersect over time.

The series first debuted in 2025 and is based on the 1981 film of the same name. In its first season, the story followed three couples — Kate (Fey) and Jack (Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Domingo) and Claude (Calvani) — whose annual tradition of vacationing together is thrown into chaos when Nick reveals he’s leaving Anne for a younger woman.

That announcement sends shockwaves through the group, transforming what was meant to be a relaxing getaway into the beginning of a year-long emotional rollercoaster. As the group continues their seasonal trips — from spring escapes to winter ski vacations — unresolved tensions, betrayals, and evolving relationships begin to surface.

Season 1 was praised for balancing humor with a thoughtful look at aging friendships, long-term marriages, and the complicated ways people grow apart and back together again. The series leans heavily on character-driven storytelling, offering both comedic observations and emotional moments as the group confronts the reality of change.

Season 2 is expected to continue exploring those themes while pushing the characters into new situations and destinations that test their bonds even further.

Behind the scenes, The Four Seasons is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, with Fey, Fisher, and Wigfield serving as co-creators and executive producers. Additional executive producers include Jeff Richmond, Eric Gurian, David Miner, and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Lang Fisher also directs episodes for the series, with Little Stranger, Inc. serving as the production company.

With its mix of sharp writing, ensemble chemistry, and relatable storytelling about friendship and marriage, The Four Seasons has positioned itself as one of Netflix’s more grounded character comedies — and Season 2 looks ready to continue that journey when the series returns this spring.

The Four Seasons Season 2 premieres Thursday, May 28, 2026 on Netflix.
