‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ Renewed for Season 5 as Ratings and Social Media Surge

The Jennifer Hudson Show has officially been renewed for a fifth season (2026–2027) by Fox Television Stations, signaling continued momentum for the Emmy-nominated daytime series.

The renewal was announced by Lauren Blincoe, SVP of Current Programming for Telepictures, and Frank Cicha, Executive Vice President of Programming for Fox Television Stations.

Hosted by Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar, and Tony Award winner Jennifer Hudson, the Los Angeles-produced syndicated talk show continues to stand out in daytime television with headline-making interviews, musical performances, and its viral “Spirit Tunnel” segment, which has become a defining digital staple for the series.

Ratings Growth in Season Four

For the 2025–26 season to date, The Jennifer Hudson Show is among the few daytime talk shows delivering year-over-year growth among Adults 25–54. Viewership is also up 10% among Women 25–54, reinforcing the show’s steady audience engagement as the daytime landscape continues to evolve.

Dominating the Digital Space

Beyond broadcast, the show has emerged as a dominant force online. It currently ranks as the #1 daytime talk show on TikTok and Threads and is the second-most-followed daytime talk show across social media platforms.

The “Spirit Tunnel” franchise has surpassed 6 billion total views, driving sustained cultural conversation and cross-platform visibility.

From January 2025 to January 2026, the show experienced substantial digital growth:

  • Total followers increased by 90.7% to 17.5 million
  • Impressions surged 242.8% to 7.5 billion
  • Engagement climbed 164.1% to 537 million

  • Instagram: 3.5 million (+131.3%)
  • Facebook: 4.3 million (+127.4%)
  • YouTube: 2.02 million subscribers (+27.8%)

Season Four: “Feel the Love”

Season Four centers around the theme “Feel the Love,” focusing on joy-driven storytelling, viral surprises, and community-centered moments. The show continues to welcome a mix of A-list celebrities, musicians, and cultural figures.

Industry Recognition

Since its launch, The Jennifer Hudson Show has earned 13 Daytime Emmy nominations. The series has also received four NAACP Image Awards, including “Outstanding Talk Show Series” in 2024 and 2025 and “Outstanding Talk Show Host” for Hudson in 2023 and 2025.

At the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards, Hudson received the Excellence in Media Award, and the show won “Outstanding Variety or Talk Show Episode.” The series has additionally been recognized in the digital space with a Webby Award, Shorty Award, and Clio Entertainment Award.
