‘The Night Agent’ Season 3 Teases Global Conspiracy in High-Stakes New Trailer

The countdown is officially on. With 29 days to go, The Night Agent is gearing up for its Season 3 return as Netflix drops the full trailer, key art, and a new batch of stills teasing Peter Sutherland’s most dangerous mission yet.

Premiering February 19, 2026, the third season pushes the series into full globe-trotting mode. From rooftop chases to a high-stakes football stadium sequence overseas, the new footage makes it clear that the stakes—and the scale—have only gotten bigger.

Season 3 finds Night Agent Peter Sutherland, once again played by Gabriel Basso, tasked with tracking down rogue Treasury agent Jay Batra (Suraj Sharma), who flees to Istanbul after murdering his boss and stealing classified intelligence. That single act triggers a dangerous chain reaction, pulling Peter into a shadowy dark-money operation while assassins close in from all sides.

Along the way, Peter forms an uneasy alliance with Isabel (Genesis Rodriguez), a relentless journalist whose pursuit of the truth collides with Peter’s mission. Together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to destabilize the U.S. government—and could cost them both their lives.

The trailer also leans into the emotional fallout from Season 2, with Peter haunted by the deal he made with powerful businessman Jacob Monroe (Louis Herthum). “I made a deal with the devil,” Peter admits, questioning whether every new tragedy is tied back to his choices.

The season brings back key players including Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington, Stephen Moyer as the ominous hitman known as The Father, Ward Horton as President Richard Hagan, and Jennifer Morrison as First Lady Jenny Hagan. The new stills give early glimpses of both the political and personal fallout unfolding across the season.

While Peter’s dynamic with Isabel echoes his past partnership with Rose Larkin, the trailer makes it clear this is a very different chapter. Notably, Luciane Buchanan’s Rose does not appear in Season 3, following Peter’s decision to walk away from that relationship at the end of last season.

Behind the Scenes: Directors and Writers Revealed

Netflix also confirmed the full creative lineup for Season 3. Directing duties are split across the season, with Guy Ferland (Episodes 301–302), Adam Arkin (303–304), Paris Barclay (305–306), Hiromi Kamata (307–308), and Billy Gierhart (309–310).

Writing credits include Munis Rashid, Anayat Fakhraie, Seth Fisher, Eileen Myers, Corey Deshon, Imogen Browder, Andres Smith, and Aiyana White, reflecting a wide-ranging creative team behind the season’s escalating tension.

What’s Next?

Still no official word on a Season 4 renewal, though the series is reportedly eyeing Los Angeles as a potential new filming—and story—home if it moves forward. Whether Netflix announces another season ahead of the premiere or waits on viewership numbers remains to be seen.

Created by Shawn Ryan and based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent returns February 19 with a familiar promise—bigger action, deeper conspiracies, and a hero questioning whether saving the world is worth the personal cost.
