Searchlight Pictures Dropped The Trailer For ‘The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat’ led by Uzo Aduba, Aunjanue Ellis, and Sanaa Lathan

Searchlight Pictures has dropped the trailer for its upcoming drama “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” ahead of its streaming debut on Hulu, August 23. This film is led by Uzo Aduba, Aunjanue Ellis, and Sanaa Lathan and is an adaptation of Edward Kelsey Moore’s 2013 NY Times best-selling novel. Tina Mabry directed from a script by Gina Prince-Bythewood with revisions by Mabry.

The narrative revolves around the lives of best friends Odette, Barbara Jean, and Clarice, portrayed by Aduba, Ellis, and Lathan respectively, as they navigate the intricacies of friendship and life in their Indiana hometown.

The trio, affectionately known as “The Supremes,” share a deep bond nurtured over decades at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat diner, which they consider a second home. However, as the synopsis suggests, their enduring friendship faces formidable challenges in the form of race, heartbreak, and illness, threatening to unravel the ties that bind them.

The film also stars Russell Hornsby and Mekhi Phifer, as well as Kyanna Simone, Tati Gabrielle, Abigail Achiri, Julian McMahon, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Tony Winters, Dijon Means, Xavier Mills, Cleveland Berto and Ryan Paynter. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen’s Temple Hill Entertainment producing.

Gabrielle, Simone, and Achiri will play younger versions of Lathan, Ellis, and Aduba’s characters, respectively.

“The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” is just one of Searchlight Pictures’ notable releases in collaboration with Hulu. The studio’s recent ventures include Laura Chinn’s Sundance drama “Suncoast,” featuring Nico Parker and Laura Linney, and Ned Benson’s romantic fantasy “The Greatest Hits,” starring Lucy Boynton. Looking ahead, audiences can anticipate a diverse lineup from Searchlight, including Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Kinds of Kindness” (June 21), Jesse Eisenberg’s acclaimed Sundance pic “A Real Pain” (October 18), and Marielle Heller’s dark comedy “Nightbitch” (December 6).
