The White Lotus Season 4 Adds Dylan Ennis as Production Begins in France

Production is officially underway on Season 4 of The White Lotus — and the Emmy-winning HBO series is adding fresh talent to its ever-expanding ensemble.

Newcomer Dylan Ennis joins the cast as filming kicks off in France.

As with previous installments, Season 4 will follow a new group of White Lotus guests and hotel staff over the course of one tension-filled week. The anthology’s signature structure — interwoven storylines that intersect in unexpected (and often deadly) ways — will once again anchor the narrative.

The upcoming season is set at the luxurious Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, marking France as the latest glamorous — and potentially chaotic — destination in the franchise’s lineup. The setting continues creator Mike White’s tradition of pairing opulence with social satire.

Also newly added to the cast is Ari Graynor, who joins previously announced stars Sandra Bernhard, Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, and AJ Michalka. Casting for the season remains ongoing.

Graynor’s character is believed to share storylines with Chris Messina’s, while Ennis is rumored to portray a local, a natural fit given his French background.

The London-based actor of French and Jamaican heritage is a recent LAMDA graduate and is poised for what could be a breakout role. Ennis is set to make his television debut in Channel 4’s upcoming series Pierre, and now lands one of the most watched ensemble dramas on television. He is represented by Conway van Gelder Grant in the UK.

Series creator Mike White returns as writer and director. He also executive produces alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.

Since its debut, The White Lotus has become known for elevating and redefining careers. Season 2 helped catapult actors like Leo Woodall and Haley Lu Richardson into global recognition, while veterans have experienced career resurgences through the series’ viral success and awards momentum.

One of the show’s recurring patterns has been bringing back at least one character from a previous season to loosely connect the storylines. Jennifer Coolidge bridged Seasons 1 and 2, Natasha Rothwell returned in Seasons 1 and 3, and Jon Gries has appeared in all three seasons so far.

Speculation is already swirling around who might serve as Season 4’s connective thread. Charlotte Le Bon is considered a strong possibility, especially given her character’s connection to Greg and her fluency in French — a detail that would seamlessly tie into the new setting.

Season 4 promises another week in paradise — where the scenery is stunning, the tension is suffocating, and someone may not make it out alive.
