Tracie Thoms has joined the cast of Somedays, a new indie drama from writer-director Brian Klugman.
The film centers on a weary delivery driver who learns he has only months left to live. After unexpectedly saving the life of a brilliant but troubled teenage girl, the two form an unlikely bond that reshapes how they both view life and what it means to truly live.
Thoms joins a cast that includes Pamela Anderson, Billy Bob Thornton, and Ariana Greenblatt. Character details for the ensemble remain under wraps.
Production is currently underway in New Jersey. The film is financed by Tucker Tooley Entertainment, with co-financing provided by Streamline Global, Eighteen 88, and Three Point Capital.
The project is produced by Tucker Tooley for Tucker Tooley Entertainment, alongside Andrew Panay and Jennifer Gibgot for Ethea Entertainment, and Geyer Kosinski for Media Talent Group. Executive producers include Greg Renker and Gregoire Gensollen for Tooley Entertainment, Klugman, Philip Waley, Molly Conners, Amanda Bowers, Andrea Bucko, and Nate Tuck for Ethea Entertainment.
Thoms will next be seen reprising her role as Lily—the art-world friend of Anne Hathaway’s Andy—in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which arrives in theaters May 1. She also starred across nine seasons of the hit drama 9-1-1, which currently airs new episodes on ABC, and recently wrapped production on Chris Rock’s A24 directorial debut, Misty Green.
