‘Tracker’ Season 3 Will Look a Lot Different as Two Original Cast Members Exit

CBS’ hit missing-persons drama Tracker is trimming down its team.

Series regulars Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who played Bobby Exley and Velma Bruin respectively, will not return for Season 3. That leaves Justin Hartley—who also executive produces—and Fiona Rene as the only two remaining leads when the procedural returns this fall.

The departures come after Tracker wrapped its second season with a major reveal: Colter Shaw (Hartley) finally confronted the man responsible for his father’s death. But like any good mystery, that confrontation sparked even more questions—including how deeply Colter’s mother Mary (Wendy Crewson) was involved.

Based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game, the show centers on Shaw, a survivalist and reward seeker who travels the country solving cases with his elite tracking skills. As the show’s lone-wolf tone has remained consistent, both Graise’s tech genius Bobby and McEnany’s logistical handler Velma were often kept at a distance from the main action—and from Colter himself.

They’re not the first to leave either. Robin Weigert, who played Velma’s wife Teddi Bruin and anchored the backend of Colter’s operation, exited after Season 1.

Despite the cast shakeup, Tracker continues to be a massive success for CBS. It ranks among the Top 5 most-watched series across both streaming and broadcast, according to Nielsen’s 35-day ratings. CBS also reports the series is the No. 1 show on broadcast—with Tracker being renewed earlier this year alongside Elsbeth, Fire Country, and the NCIS franchise.

Season 3 premieres Sunday, October 19 at 8/7c on CBS and streams the following day on Paramount+.
