Tracy Morgan is back and bolder than ever in Crutch, a new Paramount+ original series premiering Monday, November 3. All eight episodes will be available to stream at launch, marking Morgan’s latest leading role and an expansion of The Neighborhood universe.

Set in Harlem, Crutch follows Francois “Frank” Crutchfield — or “Crutch” — a blunt yet big-hearted shop owner whose quiet life flips upside down when his grown kids and grandkids move back home. What follows is equal parts chaos, comedy, and connection as three generations under one roof test each other’s patience — and love — one lesson at a time.

In the trailer, Morgan’s Crutch sets the tone from the jump:

“This is my story. I’m gonna tell it.”

We see Crutch juggling his brash street smarts with his family’s modern-day problems — a son walking away from a six-figure law career in search of peace, a daughter navigating motherhood and independence, and two grandkids trying to survive the New York subway. In classic Morgan fashion, every moment hits with punchlines that land just as hard as the truth behind them.

“If you see a dollar bill on the floor, don’t pick it up,” Crutch warns.
“I thought picking up money was good luck,” his grandson says.
“It’s a trick. That’s how they caught Martha Stewart.”

The trailer balances quick wit with heart, highlighting Crutch’s role as both protector and provocateur. Between changing the Wi-Fi password for profit (“New password’s 9…99. Ten bucks.”) and dishing out old-school lessons about hustle and family values, Crutch feels like a love letter to Black fatherhood, Harlem resilience, and the universal chaos of family life.

The cast includes Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts), Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis (Hell’s Kitchen), Adrianna Mitchell (Snowfall), Adrian Martinez (The Amateur), Braxton Paul (Sesame Street), and Finn Maloney (Suncoast). Created by Owen Smith (The Neighborhood, Black-ish), Crutch is executive produced by Cedric The Entertainer, Eric C. Rhone, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Mike Mariano, and Tracy Morgan himself. The series hails from CBS Studios and A Bird and a Bear Entertainment.

To make the crossover complete, Morgan’s Crutch will also guest star in an all-new episode of The Neighborhood the same night on CBS — bridging both worlds with a storyline that finds him driving Tina (Tichina Arnold) crazy and revealing an unexpected emotional side.

With its sharp writing, cultural nods, and Morgan’s undeniable charisma, Crutch feels like more than just a sitcom — it’s a family story with flavor, heart, and Harlem soul.
