Tramell Tillman is stepping into a Dickensian ghost story. The Severance standout has joined Paramount’s Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, directed by Ti West and led by Johnny Depp as the infamous Scrooge. The film hits theaters November 13, 2026.
This take on the classic story is described as a thrilling ghost tale set in Dickens’ London as one man confronts his past, present, and future for a second chance at life. It also marks the second major Christmas Carol adaptation in the works, following Robert Eggers’ upcoming version starring Willem Dafoe.
Andrea Riseborough is also on board, and Ian McKellen has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. While roles are being kept under wraps, Tillman is expected to portray the Ghost of Christmas Present in the reimagining.
Nathaniel Halpern penned the script, with Emma Watts producing. Stephen Deuters, Jason Forman, Adam Bohling, and David Reid serve as executive producers.
Tillman continues a standout run. He recently made Emmy history for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for Severance and is currently filming Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. His recent credits also include Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, and Lena Dunham’s Good Sex.
