The cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to expand. Variety reports that Emmy-nominated actor Tramell Tillman has signed on for the upcoming MCU installment in a role that’s currently being kept under wraps.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Spider-Man: Brand New Day will bring back Tom Holland as Peter Parker alongside returning cast members Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. They’ll be joined by a stacked lineup of new and returning MCU talent, including:
- Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher (following his Daredevil: Born Again arc)
- Mark Ruffalo reprising Bruce Banner/The Hulk
- Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) in a mystery role
- Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) in another undisclosed role
- Michael Mando reprising his Homecoming role as Mac Gargan/Scorpion
The film is produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige, along with Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.
Release Plans
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for release on July 31, 2026, positioning it ahead of the MCU’s upcoming tentpoles Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027). Filming began this month in Glasgow, Scotland, with early set photos and footage already surfacing online.
Whether Tillman’s addition signals another street-level ally, a brand-new villain, or a deeper Marvel character introduction remains a mystery. But with his proven screen presence and the franchise’s pivot toward a grittier tone, his casting feels like a major win for the wall-crawler’s next chapter.
Tillman is best known for his breakout performance as Seth Milchick in Apple TV+’s Severance, a role that earned him Emmy, TCA, and SAG nominations. He was most recently seen opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, and his growing résumé also includes appearances in Dietland, Godfather of Harlem, Hunters, and Marvel’s animated Hit-Monkey.
