Tubi and TikTok Are Opening the Door for Creators to Jump From Short-Form to Streaming

Tubi is expanding its investment in creator-led content through a new partnership with TikTok, launching a Creatorverse Incubator aimed at helping digital creators develop premium long-form series for streaming.

Under the initiative, selected TikTok creators will develop original scripted and unscripted shows that will premiere exclusively on Tubi, reaching the platform’s more than 100 million monthly active users. TikTok will help identify creators for the program, with Tubi expected to announce its first cohort later this summer.

The incubator is designed to provide a structured pathway for creators to transition from short-form content into long-form storytelling, while maintaining their creative voice. According to Tubi, creators will retain creative direction on their projects, with the platform offering development support and distribution.

“Tubi is doubling down on giving creators a real bridge from digital platforms to premium long-form storytelling,” said Rich Bloom, General Manager of Creator Programs and Executive Vice President of Business Development at Tubi. “TikTok has become one of the most powerful engines for discovering creative voices and building passionate communities at scale.”

TikTok echoed that sentiment, positioning the partnership as part of its broader effort to support creators beyond the platform. “Our creators have built deeply engaged audiences on TikTok, and our partnership with Tubi will give the next generation of entertainers more opportunities to expand their audiences, tell bigger stories, and turn their creativity into lasting impact,” said Dawn Yang, Global Head of Entertainment Partnerships at TikTok.

The move comes as audience behavior continues to shift toward creator-driven content. According to Tubi’s The Stream 2026 report, 67% of viewers say digital creator content feels more original than traditional television and film, while 63% say it feels comparable to streaming a TV show. Additionally, 37% of viewers want creator content brought onto streaming platforms, and 36% want creators cast in original programming.

Tubi has already been building toward this model. Over the past 10 months, the platform has added more than 16,000 episodes from over 200 creators. One recent example includes Kelon Campbell’s Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami, which expanded his TikTok Live characters into a feature-length project that debuted on streaming charts.

With the Creatorverse Incubator, Tubi is formalizing that strategy—creating a direct pipeline between digital creators and streaming audiences, while betting on the growing demand for creator-led storytelling.
