Dwight Manfredi is back — and this time, the stakes are even higher.
Paramount+ has set the season three premiere of Tulsa King for Sunday, September 21, with Sylvester Stallone returning as the sharp-suited mobster building his empire far from the East Coast. A newly released first look teases what’s next for the unconventional kingpin, and it’s clear his kingdom is under threat.
As his criminal operation expands, so does the target on his back. This season introduces the Dunmire family — a wealthy, old-money dynasty that operates with ruthless precision and no regard for the traditional rules Dwight is used to. They’re not just competition. They’re a problem.
“As Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies — and the risks to his crew,” reads the official logline. “Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family.”
Returning alongside Stallone are Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.
Season 3 will also feature the debut of Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character who will spin off into NOLA King — an official Tulsa King spinoff now in development at Paramount+. Jackson’s character befriends Dwight during a 10-year federal prison stint and is initially sent to Tulsa to eliminate him. But inspired by Dwight’s comeback, Washington returns to his native New Orleans to reclaim the city — and his life. The move puts him at odds with both his past and some dangerous new enemies.
‘NOLA King’ Official Synopsis:
“NOLA King follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson) who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi during a 10-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all. Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa, Washington returns to New Orleans to reconnect with his roots, reclaim his power, and protect his family — all while evading both New York enemies and NOLA adversaries, criminal and cop alike.”
Created by Taylor Sheridan, Tulsa King was the #1 global Paramount+ original in 2024, with over 21.1 million viewers tuning in to the Season 2 premiere alone. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, and executive produced by Sheridan, Stallone, Dave Erickson (who also serves as showrunner), David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Jim McKay, Sheri Elwood, Ildy Modrovich, and Keith Cox.
With higher stakes, more powerful enemies, and a growing shared universe, Tulsa King Season 3 promises to be its boldest chapter yet.
