Former NFL star turned actor Vernon Davis (Please Don’t Feed the Children), Malika Blessing (Wicked City), and influencer-comedian TravQue (Still Here) lead the cast of On Paper, a new horror-thriller that blurs the line between imagination and reality.
Written by Randall Rydell Russell (The Hostage), the story follows a struggling screenwriter who discovers his latest script is eerily mirroring a series of real-life murders. As paranoia consumes him, he must untangle whether he’s being inspired by a killer, haunted by one, or slowly becoming one himself.
Main Cast
Joining Davis, Blessing, and TravQue in leading roles are Noah Abbott, G. Anthony Joseph, Jerrel O’Neal, Chris Camaj, Cookie Mazel, Carrie Bernans, Brittney Bell, and Jalene Mack.
Supporting Cast
The supporting roster includes Tiffani Ann Mills (Forgotten Evil), Daria Kokora (Dhar Mann), Frankie (Disturbing Intentions: Bad vs. Evil), Michael Camacho (Trains), Rayshawn Chism (What Men Want), Solomon Wise (Dead Dawn), Sydni Davis (Name, Image, Likeness), and Syant Cross (On Paper).
Behind the Scenes
On Paper is produced by Jaqueline Fleming (Love Jones, Red) and T. Bankolé (The Dutchman) under their new At The Kitchen Table banner. Amanda Niqole, known for the national tour of Secrets and Off-Broadway production Colorblind, makes her feature film directorial debut with the project.
In a joint statement, Fleming and Bankolé shared:
“We’re grateful this project landed on our desk. We knew we needed the right director to bring such a delicate script to life. It’s the kind of story where how you tell it matters just as much as the story itself. We were intentional with casting, and we’re proud of the incredible talent that came together. We’re looking forward to sharing this film with audiences.”
NFL Washington Commanders defensive lineman Deatrich Wise Jr. boarded the project as executive producer, with additional producers Chris Beal (Bel-Air), Shalina Murrell, and Wallace Demarriá as co-producer.
The film recently wrapped production in Los Angeles and is gearing up for its festival run ahead of an official 2026 release.
