Lex Scott Davis, Iantha Richardson, Candace Maxwell, and Jasmine Ashanti are starring in While We…, a six-episode visual podcast premiering Fall 2025 on YouTube.
The series blends intimate, layered conversations with curated, hands-on experiences, creating a unique space where Black women can share, reflect, and connect. Each episode invites audiences into moments of vulnerability and joy, whether through mocktail-making, skincare rituals, candle crafting, or soundbaths. Creator Maurice Dukes, who developed the series through Siddewalk Productions in collaboration with Sharifa Daniels of Blex Media, describes the show as “a love letter to soft Black womanhood” and an opportunity to honor the often-overlooked in-between moments of life.
Joining the cast are Black women entrepreneurs who guide the experiential side of the show. The series features Itika Oldwine of Oldvine Florals, Alexis Roberts of Roberts Hospitality, Denai Blackshire of By.JSB, Milan Zoe of MyMelanin Plus, and Sage Causie, each of whom leads an episode with their expertise in florals, hospitality, skincare, wellness, and photography. Their contributions deepen the show’s commitment to emotional storytelling paired with intentional, real-world practices.
The project also includes a featured appearance from Camille Winbush (The Bernie Mac Show).
Filmed in Los Angeles, the production of While We… was built with intention both in front of and behind the camera. The crew was made up of 99% Black women throughout filming and reached 100% on its final day, cementing the show’s mission of centering Black women at every level. Directed by Eboni Price and shot by cinematographer Sika Stanton, the series was brought to life by producers Sharifa Daniels, Maurice Dukes, Dot McDonald, and Chiesa Dukes.
While We… will premiere this fall on YouTube, with the official trailer and further details set to be released soon.
