Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Wednesday Season 2, giving fans their first chilling glimpse into the next chapter at Nevermore Academy—and teasing that not everyone will survive the semester.
Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams in the Tim Burton-produced hit, which picks up with her heading back to school alongside her famously morbid family. In the trailer, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) asks her daughter, “How does it feel?” to which Wednesday deadpans, “Like returning to the scene of the crime. I already know where the bodies are buried.”
The new season introduces Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Nevermore’s new purple-clad principal, who quickly dubs Wednesday the “savior of Nevermore” after the events of Season 1. That doesn’t sit well with the sharp-tongued teen—nor does the unexpected fame she’s garnered. Autograph seekers and fangirls now flock to her on campus.
But the fangirling fades when Wednesday reconnects with her roommate Enid (Emma Myers), only to be struck by a disturbing vision: Enid is dead—and somehow, Wednesday is responsible. This ominous premonition sets the tone for the season’s central mystery. As the darkness deepens, Wednesday turns to her mother, Morticia, who vows not to let history repeat itself, and to Grandmama (played by Joanna Lumley), whose mystical powers remain a mystery for now.
The returning ensemble includes Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, and Victor Dorobantu as the ever-loyal Thing. Thandiwe Newton and Lady Gaga are also expected to appear in the second season.
Season 2 of Wednesday will roll out in two parts: Part 1 drops on August 6, with Part 2 following on September 3, 2025.
In a major global push, the cast and creators will also hit the road this summer for the “Doom Tour,” promoting the series across Europe (including England, Poland, Italy, France, and Romania), North America (USA and Canada), Asia (South Korea), and Australia.
Wednesday is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton returning as executive producer and director.
