Wands up — Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is back next month, bringing fresh magic, fan-favorite characters, and an extra dose of nostalgia.
Season 2 kicks off Friday, September 12, with a two-episode premiere on Disney Channel before landing in full on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets October 8.
The new season finds Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) navigating her place in the Russo family, only to realize she’s no longer the only wizard in the house. With Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko) newly powered, Justin (David Henrie) now faces the challenge of training all three for the Family Wizard Competition. As the stakes rise, a mysterious threat emerges—one that could unravel the Russos forever.
Returning main cast members also include Taylor Cora as Winter and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
Selena Gomez returns in a guest-starring role as Alex Russo, joined by new guest stars Freya Skye (Zombies 4), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds), Recker Eans, Tobias Jelinek, Patrick Bristow, and Eleanor Sweeney. Fans of the original series can also look forward to appearances from Bill Chott as Mr. Laritate, Sean Whalen as Mantooth, and Amanda Tepe in a Christmas-themed episode.
From Disney Branded Television, the series is written and executive produced by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, alongside executive producers Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Selena Gomez, and David Henrie.
