Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy The Wrong Paris finally has a release date — and a first look of the Miranda Cosgrove-led project with an unexpected love story set in Paris… Texas.
Netflix has officially set the release date for its upcoming romantic comedy The Wrong Paris, starring Miranda Cosgrove. The film will premiere globally on September 12, 2025, and the streamer has unveiled the first-look image teasing the film’s quirky premise and ensemble cast.
The Wrong Paris follows Dawn (Cosgrove), a young woman who joins a dating show believing she’s about to spend the summer falling in love in Paris, France — only to find herself in Paris, Texas instead. What starts as a reality show misadventure quickly becomes something much more heartfelt, as Dawn begins to fall for the unexpected sincerity of the show’s bachelor, Trey (played by Pierson Fodé).
Dawn initially plans to fake her way through the show and get eliminated early, but as her relationship with Trey grows more genuine, her scripted exit becomes harder to follow through with. Set against the backdrop of small-town charm and wide-open Texas skies, The Wrong Paris asks whether the wrong destination might lead to the right kind of love after all.
The cast includes:
Miranda Cosgrove, Pierson Fodé, Madison Pettis, Madeleine Arthur, Frances Fisher, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs, Christin Park, Emilija Baranac, Hannah Stocking, Veronica Long, Naika Toussaint, Ava Bianchi.
Directed by Janeen Damian, whose previous Netflix holiday rom-coms include Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish, The Wrong Paris was written by Nicole Henrich. The project is produced by Brad Krevoy and Michael Damian, with Cosgrove also serving as an executive producer alongside Galen Fletcher, Janeen Damian, Amanda Phillips, Jimmy Townsend, Vincent Balzano, and Kelly Frazier.
Cosgrove, best known for iCarly and her recent Netflix outing Mother of the Bride, steps fully into adult romantic comedy territory with this film, which blends genre satire, heartfelt romance, and the fish-out-of-water charm of a city girl stuck in a cowboy town.
Netflix released a first-look image on social media Tuesday teasing the ensemble cast and setting the tone for what could be one of the platform’s next breakout romantic comedies.
