The 28th annual American Black Film Festival is set to honor the legendary Denzel Washington with “The Retrospective: Celebrating the Legacy of Denzel Washington.” The unique event will be a highlight of this year’s festival, taking place from June 12 to June 16 in Miami Beach.
This retrospective will be a first-of-its-kind celebration, showcasing Denzel Washington’s remarkable career and enduring impact on the film industry. Attendees can expect to embark on a journey through Washington’s cinematic legacy, featuring themed activations and screenings of some of his most iconic films throughout the festival.
The festivities will culminate on Saturday, June 15, with a special tribute and onstage interview featuring Denzel Washington himself. This closing night event will not only celebrate his achievements on screen but also highlight his significant cultural impact off-screen as a director, producer, humanitarian, husband, and father.
