2024 SAG Nominations: All The Black Nominees

2024 sag nominations

As the glitz and glamour of Hollywood prepare for the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani took to Instagram Live to unveil this year’s nominees, marking a significant moment after a tumultuous period for the industry. The 2024 SAG nominations not only celebrate outstanding performances but also symbolize resilience in the aftermath of a four-month strike by SAG-AFTRA.

This year’s SAG Awards nominations overlap with the Emmys season, a consequence of the strike pushing the TV Academy’s ceremony from September 2023 to January 2024.

Among the top contenders are “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” each earning four nominations, including Motion Picture ensemble recognition with the inclusion of Issa Rae. Her Barbie nominee makes her a double nominee for her work with American Fiction. The nominations brought some surprises and notable omissions, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Fantasia Barrino in leading roles.

On the television front, HBO’s “Succession” dominates with five nominations, joined by stellar performances from Uzo Aduba, Quinta Brunson, and the cast of The Morning Show.

The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Netflix Saturday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. ET, from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
