Christiani Pitts, André De Shields and More Nominated for the 79th Annual Tony Awards: The Complete List

It’s Tony nominations morning, and Broadway’s biggest shows are making their case. The 79th Annual Tony Award nominations were announced Tuesday by Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss, with The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! leading the pack at 12 nominations each. Lincoln Center Theater’s Ragtime follows close behind with 11, and Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman tops the play field with nine — tying it with Cats: The Jellicle Ball and The Rocky Horror Show.

Among the acting highlights: Christiani Pitts earned a Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical nod for Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), and André De Shields landed a Featured Actor in a Musical nomination for Cats: The Jellicle Ball. Rose Byrne pulled off a rare double, scoring both an Oscar nomination and a Tony nod in the same year — for Fallen Angels.

Winners will be revealed June 7 at Radio City Music Hall, broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. Pink hosts.
