Erica Peeples, Brad James, David Banner, Teresa Celeste, and Cocoa Brown are starring in the upcoming romantic comedy The Soul Mate Experiment, which has officially completed production.
Written, directed, and executive produced by Tamera Hill — with Angela White, p.g.a., producing — the film explores two parallel relationships navigating love, expectations, and the challenges that come with choosing connection. Rodney Perry, Tre Ryan, Keith Arthur Bolden, and Y’Anna Crawley round out the cast.
About the Story
The Soul Mate Experiment centers on Tammy (Peeples) and Vincent (James), two strangers who agree to bypass traditional dating and intentionally fall in love on their own terms. What begins as an experiment unfolds into an emotional journey that forces both to confront their fears, desires, and truths about love.
The film also follows Trey (Banner) and Angie (Celeste), a married couple reassessing their relationship as they celebrate their fifth anniversary. Through both couples, the film examines the choices, conversations, and revelations that shape modern relationships.

Behind the Film
This project marks another addition to Tamera Hill’s growing slate under Hidden Gem Entertainment. Hill previously wrote and directed Never Heard and is preparing for the release of The Secret Between Us in Fall 2025.
Producer Angela White continues her extensive work in independent cinema, with credits including Lifetime’s Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love and the two-part film event Friends and Lovers. The Soul Mate Experiment extends her ongoing commitment to supporting diverse stories and filmmakers.
Release Details
With production officially wrapped, The Soul Mate Experiment is scheduled to debut in February 2026, aligning with Valentine’s season.
