ABFF Pop Up Tour Returns for Second Year, Expanding to Washington D.C. and Houston This Fall

The American Black Film Festival is hitting the road again. NICE CROWD, the company behind ABFF, has announced the return of the ABFF Pop Up Tour for its second year, expanding to a four-city national lineup as the festival celebrates its 31st anniversary.

Building on the inaugural tour’s success, which made stops in New York, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles, the 2026 tour adds Washington D.C. and Houston to the mix while returning to New York and Atlanta. Each weekend will feature award-winning independent films, celebrity conversations and curated panels. The 2026 tour is presented nationally by founding sponsor Ally Financial, with HBO as a national presenting sponsor.

“ABFF Pop Up gives us the opportunity to bring our festival experience to audiences beyond our annual event and connect with communities in new and returning markets throughout the year,” said Nicole Friday, President and Co-Founder of NICE CROWD. “Each stop is designed to capture the spirit of ABFF by bringing together exceptional films, meaningful conversations, and the community that has always been at the heart of the festival.”
