Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning crime anthology, Accused opens in a courtroom on the accused, with viewers knowing nothing about their crime or how they ended up on trial.
Told from the defendant’s point of view through flashbacks, the series holds a mirror up to the current times with evocative and emotional stories. Accused depicts how an ordinary person gets caught up in an extraordinary situation, ultimately revealing how one wrong turn leads to another, until it’s too late to turn back.

Howard Gordon, the series is a collection of 15 intense, topical and exquisitely human stories of crime and punishment. Each episode is a fast-paced provocative thriller, exploring a different crime, in a different city, with an entirely original cast.
In their episode, Warner and LeBlanc star as concerned concerned and protective parents after an incident with their daughter in a park, and Pierce as a detective assigned to their daughter’s case.
Michael Cuesta, Billy Porter, Marlee Matlin, Tazbah Chavez and Michael Chiklis will direct episodes.

The series also stars Keith Carradine, Jason Ritter, Betsy Brandt, Wrenn Schmidt, Emma Nelson, Joanne Boland, and Brad Austin. James Udom, Anne Bedian, Matthew James Thomas, Evan Gamble, Skywalker Hughes, Lyla Porter-Follows, Skylar Gaertner, Janet Porter, and Damon Redfern will also headline other episodes.
