Tony Award-winning actress Adrienne Warren is joining the cast of HBO’s The Gilded Age for its fourth season, which has been set to premiere Sunday, November 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and Max. The network has also dropped the first teaser trailer for the eight-episode season.
Warren joins a new cast of arrivals that also includes Dennis Haysbert, Taylor Trensch, James Scully, Maggie Kuntz, Neal Huff, Bonnie Milligan, Jim Gaffigan, Dallas Roberts, Andrew Burnap and Elizabeth Marvel.
The teaser offers the first look at what awaits the show’s ensemble this season. Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) warns that the family is being tested and must fight with every tool it has. Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) is in rare form, George Russell (Morgan Spector) has a gun in hand, and the President is coming to dinner. The season also picks up on the romance between Larry and Marian, who are seen coupled up again.
Season 4’s logline sets the stakes: Bertha Russell changed Society at a cost and her family must now reckon with the consequences. Agnes van Rhijn seizes an opportunity to regain her position, Marian forges a new path, and Peggy works to be accepted by her future in-laws. In this new era, the warning is clear: be careful what you wish for.
