Alfre Woodard and Clarke Peters are among six cast in Netflix’s upcoming supernatural mystery series, The Boroughs, produced by the Duffer Brothers, known for the hit series Stranger Things. The show, created and helmed by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, also stars Alfred Molina (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Geena Davis (Thelma & Louise), Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story), and Bill Pullman (The Sinner).
The Boroughs unfolds in a seemingly idyllic retirement community, where an unexpected band of heroes must unite to thwart a supernatural threat bent on stealing the one thing they don’t have—time. The series is poised to offer a mix of horror, humor, and heart, with an ensemble cast that brings their seasoned talent to this otherworldly tale. Molina will portray Sam, Davis takes on the role of Renee, Woodard will play Judy, O’Hare is cast as Wally, Peters stars as Art, and Pullman will embody Jack.

Director Ben Taylor (Sex Education) has joined the project as an executive producer and will direct multiple episodes, including the pilot. Executive producers include the Duffer Brothers, Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Pictures, Addiss, Matthews, and Taylor. The show marks another collaboration under the Duffer Brothers’ overall deal with Netflix, which also encompasses the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things.
