ALLBLK, the go-to streaming service for Black-led television and film under AMC Networks, just dropped the official trailer for its latest original film, Darwin—and let’s just say, this one’s not for the faint of heart.
Premiering March 20, Darwin is a crime thriller that flips the script on the usual hustle-and-survival narrative. Written and directed by Aaron AbdinAli Abdin, the film follows a group of street-smart young hustlers whose latest scheme puts them in the crosshairs of a sadistic predator. What starts as a high-risk, high-reward game of urban heists quickly spirals into a bone-chilling fight for survival.
Meet Tahj (Danielle LaRoach), a young woman determined to escape the system, who finds herself joining forces with her cousin Bam Bam (Martin Bats Bradford) and disillusioned college grad Canis (Keraun Harris). Their hustle? Targeting the wealthy through a series of calculated heists. But when they unknowingly cross paths with Charles (Matt Kinback), a ruthless predator with a twisted obsession, their game plan turns into a life-or-death struggle. Now, survival depends on more than just street smarts—it’s a battle of wits, instinct, and resilience.
Alongside LaRoach, Bradford, Harris, and Kinback, the film also features Rasheda Randle, Lionel Johnson Jr., Anthony M. Walker, and Bob Lanoue in supporting roles.
The project is produced by Aaron Abdin and Ali Abdin, with Sean Charles serving as executive producer.
