Allen Maldonado, Brandon Mychal, Darrell Britt-Gibson to Star in Basketball Drama Get Buckets

Allen Maldonado, Brandon Mychal Smith, Darrell Britt-Gibson, and Stephen Falk are executive producing the upcoming single-cam comedy series Get Buckets for Fox.

Get Buckets follows three estranged brothers who must come together to run their late billionaire father’s professional basketball team and learn how to be a functional family.

Maldonado, Britt-Gibson, and Smith will also star. Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein of Mortal Media are also joining the project as executive producers. Fox Entertainment is producing the series.

Maldonado’s current credits include the Starz wrestling drama series Heels and ABC’s The Wonder Years as well as the House Party remake which is currently in theaters. His past credits include Straight Out of Compton, Maya and the Three, The Last O.G., and Black-ish.

Britt-Gibson’s credits include The Wire, We Own This City, Barry, Power, and Californication. His big screen credits include Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Just Mercy. Smith is best known for voicing Mikey in Rise of the Teenage Music Ninja Turtle. His past credits include You’re The Worst, Four Weddings And A Funeral, Sweet/Vicious, and Get On Up.

Falk is the creator and executive producer of the FX/FXX series You’re The Worst which ran for 5 seasons. He also wrote and co-executive produced the hit Showtime series Weeds and Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black.
