‘Alma’s Way’ Scores Season 3 Renewal at PBS Kids, Bringing More NYC Adventures and Life Lessons

Alma’s still got more stories to tell! Alma’s Way, the Emmy-nominated animated series from Fred Rogers Productions, isn’t slowing down anytime soon—it’s officially coming back for a third season on PBS Kids.

This next chapter will bring 15 brand-new half-hour episodes, including a special 22-minute musical adventure inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Created by Sesame Street legend Sonia Manzano, the series—designed for kids aged 4-6—continues its mission of fostering curiosity, problem-solving, and community love, all with a Bronx-born flair.

And if you’ve been loving the show’s authentic nods to New York City, expect even more. Season 3 will showcase quintessential Big Apple landmarks like the New York Public Library, the iconic 6 train, and a return trip to the American Museum of Natural History. But beyond the city sights, the new episodes are digging deep into real-life moments kids can relate to—like dealing with the loss of a beloved neighbor, figuring out how to stay calm when plans go sideways, and learning how to show up for a friend in tough times.

“We are thrilled that viewers will continue to learn alongside Alma and her friends in Season 3,” said Ellen Doherty, chief creative officer for Fred Rogers Productions and executive producer of the show. “Whatever the dilemma may be, Alma models how to think things through with kindness, optimism, and self-confidence.”

Manzano, who’s always been about making sure kids see themselves on screen, added, “It’s so important that kids know they matter and for them to see themselves reflected in the characters on screen. I’m honored to work with Fred Rogers Productions, PBS KIDS, and Pipeline Studios to help achieve this goal the ‘Alma way!’”

PBS KIDS’ senior VP and general manager, Sara DeWitt, echoed that excitement, saying, “We’re excited to bring more Alma’s Way to families across the country, highlighting community and all the fun learning moments that the series brings to life in every episode.”

With its blend of cultural authenticity, heartwarming storytelling, and real-life lessons, Alma’s Way is proving that a good story—and a strong sense of community—never go out of style. Season 3 can’t get here soon enough!
