Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first poster for the latest incarnation of The Thomas Crown Affair, with the teaser trailer set to arrive tomorrow. The film opens exclusively in theaters March 5, 2027.
This new take marks a significant creative moment for Michael B. Jordan, who directs, produces and stars in what is being described as a visually breathtaking, sensual and unexpectedly moving heist thriller. Jordan plays Thomas Crown, a billionaire who cleverly steals a painting while a nearby heist distracts law enforcement, only to find himself pursued by a sharp and formidable insurance investigator, played by Adria Arjona. The two fall in love during the cat-and-mouse game, continuing the franchise’s signature blend of romance and rivalry first defined by Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in 1968 and later Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in the 1999 remake.

The ensemble cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart. The screenplay is by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall, based on the original by Alan R. Trustman. Behind the camera, cinematographer Bradford Young and costume designer Ruth E. Carter, reuniting with Jordan following previous collaborations, join composer Jon Batiste, who will score the film.
The film is produced by Jordan, Elizabeth Raposo, Marc Toberoff, Patrick McCormick and Charles Roven through Outlier Society, Atlas Entertainment and a Toberoff Production.
