Apple TV+ is raising its subscription price for the fourth time in four years. Beginning today, August 28, the monthly price increases to $14.99 for both new and existing subscribers in the US, up from $12.99. The annual price rises to $119 from $99. Existing subscribers will be notified approximately one month before being charged the new rate.
The Individual tier of Apple One, the bundled plan that includes Apple TV+, Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+, also increases from $19.95 to $21.95 per month. The Family and Premier tiers were not affected.
The hike marks the fourth price increase for Apple TV+ since its launch in 2019 at $4.99 per month, meaning the monthly rate has tripled in seven years. The streamer last raised prices in August 2025, when it jumped 30 percent from $9.99 to $12.99.
Apple TV+ now offers more than 300 original titles, including comedy series Ted Lasso, The Studio and Shrinking, thrillers Severance and Pluribus, drama The Morning Show and this year’s most Emmy-nominated freshman series Widow’s Bay. On the film side, the service is home to Oscar-winner CODA and F1: The Movie, which became the highest-grossing sports film of all time at the global box office.
The increase follows a broader industrywide trend, with Netflix, Max, Disney+, Hulu, Paramount+ and Peacock all raising prices in the last two years. ESPN is also set to raise streaming prices on September 17.
