Apple TV+ has unveiled the first teaser for Imperfect Women, an eight-episode psychological thriller led by Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss, who also executive produce the series. Created for television by Annie Weisman, the limited series launches with its first two episodes on Wednesday, March 18, followed by weekly episodes through April 29.
Based on Imperfect Women by Araminta Hall, the series centers on a crime that fractures a decades-long friendship between three women. As the investigation unfolds, buried truths surface—testing loyalty, exposing betrayal, and revealing how even the closest bonds can be built on secrets.
Alongside Moss and Washington, the ensemble cast includes Kate Mara, Leslie Odom Jr., Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, and Wilson Bethel.
Imperfect Women is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Weisman serves as showrunner, continuing her collaboration with Apple TV+ following Physical. Moss executive produces with Lindsey McManus via Love & Squalor Pictures, while Washington executive produces through Simpson Street alongside Pilar Savone. Hall and writer Kay Oyegun also executive produce. Lesli Linka Glatter directs and executive produces episodes one, four, and five.
The teaser hints at a moody, tension-forward mystery—suggesting a slow-burn thriller less interested in easy answers than in the emotional cost of truth.
