Apple TV+ Unveils 'Silo' Season 2 Premiere Date and New Cast Addition

At San Diego Comic-Con, Apple TV+ delighted fans by announcing that its globally acclaimed world-building drama ‘Silo’ will return for its second season on Friday, November 15. The announcement included the exciting news that Steve Zahn, known for his role in ‘The White Lotus,’ will join the cast for the upcoming season.

This revelation was made during a special fan panel featuring series star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson, actor Common, creator and showrunner Graham Yost, and executive producer Hugh Howey. Zahn made a surprise appearance, further thrilling the audience.

The new season of ‘Silo’ will consist of 10 episodes, premiering globally on Apple TV+ with the first episode. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released every Friday through January 17, 2025.

‘Silo,’ based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy ‘Wool,’ depicts the story of the last ten thousand people on Earth. These survivors live in a mile-deep silo that protects them from the toxic world outside. The origins and purpose of the silo are unknown, and those who attempt to uncover its secrets face deadly consequences. The series stars Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette, an engineer seeking answers about a loved one’s murder, who unravels a mystery far deeper than she could have imagined.

In addition to Ferguson, Common, and Zahn, the cast for season two includes Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.

The entire first season of ‘Silo’ is currently streaming on Apple TV+. The series is produced by Apple Studios, with executive producers Graham Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Rebecca Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Hugh Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.

Since its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ has rapidly gained recognition, becoming the first all-original streaming service to launch globally. It has premiered a wide array of original content, earning numerous awards and nominations.
