Asante Blackk Joins ‘Euphoria’ Season 3—The Ninth New Cast Addition

Asante Blackk Joins Euphoria Season 3 in Major Recurring Role

HBO’s Euphoria is officially back in business, and it’s bringing some new faces along for the ride. Asante Blackk has signed on for a key recurring role in the highly anticipated third—and final—season of the hit drama.

It’s been a long wait, but the new season is finally moving forward after significant delays. Set to premiere in 2026, Euphoria Season 3 will take a bold leap forward—literally—with a time jump that moves the characters beyond their high school years.

Returning for this next chapter are series staples Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Dominic Fike, with Colman Domingo making a guest appearance. The season will also introduce Toby Wallace as a new series regular.

And the guest stars? Euphoria is mixing things up in the best way. The lineup includes Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, NFL legend Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Darrell Britt-Gibson, singer Rosalía, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.

But it’s Blackk’s role that’s turning heads. According to Deadline, he’ll be playing Kidd, a runner for a ruthless kingpin, portrayed by new series regular Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Oz, Suicide Squad).

However, not everyone is making the jump to Season 3. Nika King, Algee Smith, Storm Reid (Gia), Barbie Ferreira (Kat), Austin Abrams (Ethan), and Javon “Wanna” Walton (Ashtray) are not returning. And, of course, the Euphoria family is still mourning the tragic loss of Angus Cloud (Fezco), who passed away on July 31, 2023.

Filming is currently underway in Los Angeles, with several familiar names back in the creative mix, including supervising editor Julio C. Perez IV, cinematographer Marcell Rév, and makeup department head Doniella Davy. Some fresh talent is also stepping behind the camera, with Colleen Atwood (co-producer), Natasha Newman-Thomas (costume designer), and Francois Audouy (production designer) joining the team.

Since its debut, Euphoria has been a cultural juggernaut, earning 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins, including two Best Actress trophies for Zendaya and a Best Guest Actor win for Colman Domingo. Directed and executive produced by Sam Levinson, the show remains a powerhouse under HBO’s partnership with A24.

Blackk has been on an undeniable upward trajectory ever since his breakout role in Ava DuVernay’s Netflix limited series When They See Us, which earned him an Emmy nomination. He’s also racked up two Critics Choice nominations, one for When They See Us and another for his standout work on NBC’s This Is Us. His film credits include Story Ave and Landscape with Invisible Hand.

With a time jump, new storylines, and an ever-evolving cast, Euphoria Season 3 is shaping up to be its boldest chapter yet. And with Blackk stepping into the mix, it looks like the ride is only getting wilder.
