Justified: City Primeval will take place seven years after the original FX series Justified. Raylan is still living in Miami, to which he relocated in the series finale.
He is balancing life as a marshal and part-time father of 14-year-old Willa, (played by his real-life daughter Vivian). A chance encounter on a Florida highway sends him to Detroit and he crosses paths with Clement Mansell (Holbrook), aka The Oklahoma Wildman. Wildman is a violent sociopath who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and wants to do so again.
Ellis will portray Carolyn, Clement/Wildman’s lawyer and Motor City native. She’s in a sticky situation working with a criminal while a lawman is breathing down her neck, but she has every intention of representing her client all while her own plans are in motion in the background.
