Get a First Look at Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in WWII Action Thriller Lucky Strike

Roadside Attractions and Saban Films have unveiled a poster and trailer for Lucky Strike, an upcoming WWII action thriller directed by Rod Lurie (The Outpost, The Last Castle, Straw Dogs).

Scott Eastwood stars as an injured American soldier trapped behind enemy lines during the Battle of the Bulge — the last major German offensive of World War II. Armed with little more than a Motorola SCR-300 backpack radio, a cutting-edge technology only recently battle-ready at the war’s end, he must rely on his wits and spy craft to evade an advancing Nazi Panzer army and find his way home.

The film is inspired by true events and reunites Lurie with producer Marc Frydman and star and producer Eastwood, following their acclaimed collaboration on The Outpost.

Joining Eastwood in the cast are Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Colin Hanks, and Taylor John Smith.

“80 years from now, everyone will know what happened in that battle,” a line of dialogue in the trailer muses. “But will they understand it?”

Lucky Strike is set to open in select US theaters on June 26, 2026, distributed by Roadside Attractions and Saban Films. A digital VOD release is expected to follow the theatrical run on platforms such as Prime Video or Apple TV.
