Ayo Edebiri, known for her role in ‘The Bear,’ is set to star with Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield in Amazon MGM Studios’ new film ‘After the Hunt,’ directed by Luca Guadagnino.
The film, penned by Nora Garrett, is a gripping dramatic thriller. It follows a college professor at a pivotal moment in her life when a star student accuses a colleague, and a buried secret from her past surfaces. Specific details about Edebiri’s character are still under wraps.
‘After the Hunt’ is produced by Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum from Imagine Entertainment, along with Guadagnino’s Frenesy. Karen Lunder from Imagine and Garrett will serve as executive producers. Filming begins this summer, with a theater release planned for next year.
Edebiri is a rising star, best known for her role as Sydney, a sous-chef in FX’s hit comedy ‘The Bear,’ which is returning for its third season on June 27 and has already been renewed for a fourth. Her performance has earned her recognition at the Emmys, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Indie Spirits.
Recently, Edebiri starred in the comedy ‘Bottoms’ and will voice a character in Pixar’s ‘Inside Out 2,’ coming out on June 14. She’ll also appear in the sci-fi drama ‘Omni Loop’ and A24’s horror film ‘Opus.
