And returning stars stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Dominique Thorne. Tenouch Huerta, Mitzi Mabel Cadena, Michaela Coel, are among the newcomers this time around.
Over the summer while plot details were still kept under wraps, Marvel dropped an emotion-invoking teaser at San Diego Comic-Con. However with the official Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer, we finally get more of an idea of the films’ plot.
Coogler broke down the trailer to EW stating, “Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the sequel finds T’Challa’s beloved homeland grappling with its grief, while also navigating new threats.”
The official synopsis reads:
Queen Ramonda (Bassett), Shuri (Wright), M’Baku (Duke), Okoye (Gurira) and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.
This film is said to have a run time of 1 hour and 41 minutes, making it the longest non-Avenger titled film in Marvel history.
