It’s official: R&B icons Brandy and Monica are heading on tour together for the first time ever.
Announced live on CBS Mornings, the duo revealed The Boy Is Mine Tour, a 24-city arena run that kicks off October 16, 2025, and wraps December 7. Produced by the Black Promoters Collective, the tour marks a long-awaited moment more than 25 years in the making, honoring the legacy of their 1998 duet “The Boy Is Mine” — a record-breaking track that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks and became a definitive anthem of late ’90s R&B.
Joining them on the road is a stacked lineup of special guests: GRAMMY-winning artist Kelly Rowland, hitmaker Muni Long, and newly crowned American Idol Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts. Together, they bring a multigenerational blend of voices that represent R&B’s enduring past, present, and future.
A Full-Circle Moment
Last year, Brandy and Monica made headlines after a surprise appearance in Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” music video, followed by an official remix that earned them a 2025 GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. That viral return laid the groundwork for this full-circle tour moment — a reunion fans have been asking for since their first and only collaborative release.
“Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music—it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come,” Brandy said in a statement. “To share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion—it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.”
Monica echoed the sentiment: “This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. We’re giving the people what they’ve been asking for — and doing it with grace, love, and purpose.”
Tour Highlights and Visual Rollout
With both Brandy and Monica boasting decades-spanning discographies and vocal powerhouses in their own right, The Boy Is Mine Tour is more than a nostalgic throwback — it’s a cultural event. Fans can expect live instrumentation, powerhouse vocals, and collaborative moments that blend their solo hits and shared legacy.
“Bringing Brandy and Monica together is a cultural homecoming,” said Shelby Joyner, President of the Black Promoters Collective. “Their impact on R&B is immeasurable, and this tour is a celebration of everything they’ve built.”
In addition to the tour announcement, a cinematic mini-movie directed by Ethan Tobman (known for work with Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande) was released as the official teaser. The dramatic visual sets the tone for what’s expected to be an emotionally charged and visually stunning live experience.
