The largest gathering of Disney Princess talent ever assembled took the stage at Disney California Adventure Park on Thursday as part of D23 Day at Disneyland Resort. Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration brought together iconic voices from across the franchise’s history, with some performing together for the very first time, kicking off both D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event and World Princess Week.
Held at Paradise Gardens Park, the concert took audiences on a musical journey through some of the franchise’s most beloved songs, accompanied by projections of the corresponding films on a cascading wall of water, with spectacular lighting and flowing fountains setting the stage.
The evening opened with Brandy, the titular star of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997), performing “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” Before Brandy took the stage, guests were treated to a Princess montage featuring an ethereal harmony performed by viral vocalists Anthony Gargiula, Jonathan Tilking, Lauren Paley and Loren Lott, accompanied by appearances from Disney Princess characters.
Disney Legend Paige O’Hara, the original voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast (1991), and incoming Disney Legend Susan Egan, the original Belle on Broadway, performed “Belle Reprise” and “Something There.” Disney Legend Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989), and Halle Bailey, the live-action Ariel from the 2023 film, came together for a rendition of “Part of Your World.”
Auli’i Cravalho, the original voice of Moana, performed “How Far I’ll Go” before being joined by Catherine Laga’aia, the live-action Moana from the 2026 film, for “Along the Way.” Disney Legend Lea Salonga, the original singing voice of both Jasmine in Aladdin (1992) and the title character in Mulan (1998), performed “A Whole New World” alongside Brandy before delivering a solo performance of “Reflection.” Judy Kuhn, the original singing voice of Pocahontas, performed “Colors of the Wind.” Disney Legend Anika Noni Rose, the original voice of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog (2009), gave a powerful performance of “Almost There.”
The concert closed with the entire cast uniting for an ensemble performance of “When You Wish Upon a Star.” Make-A-Wish families were also in attendance for the evening, including Mikayla, who made history in 2023 as Disney’s 150,000th wish granted through Make-A-Wish.
