The ton is buzzing once again.
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1, officially ushering viewers back into Shondaland’s world of silk gloves, whispered scandals, and longing glances. This season, the spotlight finally turns to Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) — the family’s bohemian second son who has long resisted the idea of marriage.
That carefully curated indifference begins to unravel at Lady Violet Bridgerton’s dazzling masquerade ball, where Benedict becomes instantly captivated by a mysterious woman known only as the “Lady in Silver.” Determined to uncover her identity, Benedict enlists the help of his sharp-witted sister Eloise, setting off a search filled with intrigue, longing, and emotional reckoning.
As the trailer reveals, Benedict’s journey takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid in the household of the formidable Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). What begins as an unlikely connection soon deepens into something far more complicated — challenging Benedict’s ideas of love, status, and the rigid expectations of Regency society.
Inspired by Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman, Season 4 explores themes of class, identity, and self-discovery. Sophie, the daughter of an earl and his maid, has endured a life shaped by secrecy, cruelty, and societal constraints — making her romance with Benedict both tender and revolutionary within the rules of the ton.
The trailer also teases the return of fan-favorite characters, including Queen Charlotte, Francesca, Colin, Penelope, and more, ensuring the season remains rich with romance and spectacle. Familiar faces returning this season include Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Simone Ashley (Kate Bridgerton), and others.
Lady Whistledown, ever-watchful, reminds viewers in the teaser:
“With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs. So then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time and this author will tell.”
Netflix has confirmed that Season 4 will be released in two parts, with the first four episodes debuting January 29, 2026, followed by the remaining four episodes on February 26, 2026.
Adding to the excitement, Netflix has also renewed Bridgerton for Seasons 5 and 6, ensuring that every Bridgerton sibling will ultimately have their moment in the spotlight.
