Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for Juror #2, the latest film from two-time Oscar-winning director Clint Eastwood. The courtroom thriller, starring Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, and J.K. Simmons, will premiere internationally on October 30 and open for a limited release in North America on November 1. The film will make its world debut as the closing-night feature at AFI Fest on October 27.

Hoult stars as Justin Kemp, a family man serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial. His role becomes complicated when he faces a moral dilemma that could sway the jury’s verdict and determine the fate of the accused. Kemp’s internal struggle lies at the heart of the film’s tension, as he grapples with whether to free or convict a potential killer.

The star-studded cast also includes Chris Messina, Gabriel Basso, Zoey Deutch, Cedric Yarbrough, Leslie Bibb, Kiefer Sutherland, Amy Aquino, and Adrienne C. Moore.

Clint Eastwood, celebrated for his directorial work on Unforgiven (1993) and Million Dollar Baby (2005), is back in the director’s chair for the first time since 2021’s Cry Macho. Juror #2 is written by Jonathan Abrams (Escape Plan) and produced by Eastwood, Tim Moore, Jessica Meier, Adam Goodman, and Matt Skiena. David M. Bernstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, and Jeremy Bell serve as executive producers.

The film’s AFI Fest premiere is a nod to Eastwood’s long-standing legacy, having previously received the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1996 and an honorary degree in 2009. While it’s unclear if the film will enter the awards race, its release during prime awards season and its AFI Fest slot have sparked speculation. As AFI president Bob Gazzale stated, “We are honored to bring the community together once again — artists and audiences — to celebrate an American icon.”

Mark your calendars for Juror #2, a tense courtroom drama with a moral twist, hitting theaters this November.
