Taryn Manning to Star in Coke Daniels’ Karen Movie

Say hello to a movie the Karens are going to be all upset about. Coke Daniels’ is directing a Karen movie. Literally entitled, Karen, a suspense thriller starring Orange Is The New Black’s Taryn Manning.

If you know anything about the term, that Karens in Karen-like-fashion have deemed racist, it is used to describe caucasion women who don’t mind their business and call 911 on blacks, who are minding their business doing everyday things. Things such as selling lemonade, birdwatching, jogging, the list, unfortunately, goes on.

There isn’t much on the plot but according to Blackfilm, Coke Daniels’ Karen movie, tells the story of a white privileged Caucasian (Manning) woman living in the south who will do anything to get rid of her brand new next-door neighbors who are African American. However, the neighbors who are card-holding members of the Black Lives Matter movement aren’t going without a fight and they will fight till the very end.

Coke Daniels, has directed movies such as Who Made the Potatoe Salad?, His, Hers & the Truth, Busted and more. The film is currently in pre-production with a 2021 release date.

Manning and Craig Chapman are producing the Karen movie with Vanzil Burke and Victor Burke executive produced. Kris Lefan and Adrian Miller are on board to co-executive produced.
