Fans of “Criminal Minds: Evolution” have reason to celebrate as Paramount+ announces the renewal of the series for a third season.
Set to go into production later this year, the renewal comes on the eve of the premiere of Season 2, which drops on June 6 with two episodes. Subsequent episodes will be available weekly on Thursdays.
The upcoming season of “Criminal Minds: Evolution” wil delve even deeper into the dark and twisted world of criminal profiling. Following the explosive finale of the previous season, the BAU team finds themselves embroiled in the deadly mystery of Gold Star. As the conspiracy unravels, they face a formidable adversary in the form of serial killer Elias Voit, whose presence threatens to upend everything they thought they knew.
The series stars Aisha Tyler, Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, along with Zach Gilford and Ryan-James Hatanaka. With a lineup of guest stars that include Clark Gregg, Felicity Huffman, Liana Liberato, Paul F. Tompkins, Tuc Watkins, and Brian White.
“Criminal Minds: Evolution” is a continuation of the long-running CBS series and is produced by ABC Signature and CBS Studios. Showrunner Erica Messer, known for her work on “Criminal Minds” and “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,” leads the production team, which includes executive producers Breen Frazier, Chris Barbour, Glenn Kershaw, and Mark Gordon.
